Khel Foundation successfully organized a Table Tennis Tournament for the Deaf in association with the West Bengal Sports Association of the Deaf, on 28th December 2025, aiming to promote inclusivity and encourage sporting talent among specially-abled athletes. The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation and showcased exceptional skill, focus, and determination. Every match reflected the power of sports to unite, empower, and inspire beyond communication barriers. Khel Foundation remains committed to creating equal opportunities through sports and continues to support initiatives that celebrate ability, resilience, and confidence. Another feather in the cap of Khel Foundation was added on 30th November with the successful organisation and conclusion of the health and wellness camp in association with people's relief committee and Kolkata Swaasthya Sankalp. A total of 142 malis from 74 different clubs availed the free medical check up facilities out of which 107 are being given free spectacles, 50 orthopaedic belts and three identified with chronic ailments are bring extended medical help. It's a great humanitarian gesture in reaching out to the economically weaker section of the society and we wish God helps us to reach out to many more such deserving people in need in future. We thank all are members and participants without whose support this would not have been possible.
A proud moment for Khel Foundation on being chosen amongst many organisations to receive hundred shoes for distribution amongst deserving sports person under 15 .The vouchers were given by Kartik Aaryan, Hindi Cinema Celebrity and Bollywood sensation at South City Mall at an event conducted by Skechers .
Major Dhyan Chand Memorial (Khel Foundation Grass Roots ) Hockey Tournament concluded on 31st August with a dream ending after a difficult start on 29th August with the weather playing hide and seek . Overcoming all hurdles certain unexpected khel foundation achieved it's ultimate goal of its most successful event so far with coverage from the media and a host of dignitaries from various backgrounds attending and encouraging us. 24 teams participating from various districts was no mean task to handle but dedication of khel foundation and Grass Roots members made it a smooth process . We are extremely thankful to each and every member and all others who spared their valuable time in supporting us in every possible manner as great achievements always come through team work and we still have miles to cover before we sleep . Mr. D.P. Singh one of the senior most IPS officer despite having a flight to catch was kind enough to inaugurate the tournament and boost us morally .We are highly obliged to him. Mr. Sujit Bose Fire Minister and president Bengal Hockey Associations was there at the closing ceremony to grace the occasion and bless the children. MS Papiya Sultana IPS and Smt. Shanti Mallick Arjuna Awardee too graced the occasion . Other dignitaries included Mr. Ajay Mukund Rana Dey IPS and Mr. Sapan Banerjee (president Bengal Olympic Association ). Finals were nerve cracking with Bankura girls loosing to Khalsa girls 2-1 in the tie breaker and Kalimpong boys(BCA) winning 3-1 against Khalsa boys .
Independence day was celebrated at Khel Foundation office. Mr. Subrata De, a pioneer in table tennis, was honoured with life time achievement award and Sandrata Roy, upcoming rifle shooter was facilitated with a cheque of Rs 15,000/- collected by her father on her behalf . It was an eventful morning and the enthusiasm of the members made it a successful one. Thanks to all the members for sparing their time. We look forward to continue our march with many more such celebrations with your combined cooperation. The journey has just begun and it's miles to go before we sleep .
