At Tripura state senior woman chess championship, Arshiya was unbeaten champion with 4 out of 4 points and was selected to represent Tripura in Senior National woman chess championship at Tamilnadu from 30/june/2024.
Western Asia Youth and western Asian junior championships at Sri Lanka was held from 7th July 23rd July -2024.
Arshiya Das also participated in both the prestigious Tournaments this time.
Arshiya won silver medal for our country from Sri Lanka in "Western Asian Blitz Youth Chess Championship -2024" (under-14 girls- Blitz) and one team Gold medal for our country. She scored 7 out of 9 rounds and won silver for our country.
Khel Foundation on the Independence Day decided to felicitate Arshiya Das ,the chess prodigy from Agartala , who represented India in Asia Youth Championship at Srilanka and brought silver medal in individual category and Gold in team category , and handed her a cheque of Rs 20000/- with a track suit. Arshiya was seen at Championship wearing KF Track suit with KF logo which was given by KF.
Arshiya was awarded the National Youth Icon Award - 2025 in the sports category at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi! This prestigious recognition is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and exceptional achievements in the field of sports. This milestone is not only a proud moment for her but also for Khel Foundation, as we continue to support and encourage young talents in their journey to greatness. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and look forward to even more success in the future!

Kumari Arshiya Das is a 10-year-old sportsperson from West Tripura district of Tripura. She is the first and only girl chess player from the North East who has received an international gold medal and is also a national chess champion. Arshiya began playing chess at the age of five. In 2019, she won a gold medal in the Asian School Chess Championship at Uzbekistan and gold medal in the National School Chess Championship at Raipur in Under-9 category. She is a two- time bronze medal winner in the National Chess Championship in 2017 and 2019. She has been awarded 'Best Player of the Year' in chess for four consecutive years by Tripura Sports Journalist Club (TSJC) from 2017 to 2020. Arshiya is the youngest international rated player of the state with an ELO rating of 1053 in 2017. During lockdown, she played around 500 tournaments organised by the International Chess Federation (FIDE), All India Chess Federation and many more club tournaments, all in online mode.
